About Me

Hey! I’m Juliana and I love the outdoors more than anything. I recently moved to Montana, and I am building a career in environmental outreach and education. This blog is just one step towards my dreams. Other dreams of mine include: owning copious numbers of horses and dogs, and living on acres of land somewhere in the mountains (preferably in a tiny house). So, while that dream might need to be re-evaluated in 5… or 20… years, I’ve got big plans.

I, of course, am an avid camper and hiker, I love to scuba dive, I’ve been riding horses my entire life, and I have a cat named Rori. I love rivers, and I am learning to fly-fish and ski. A major goal I have for myself is to complete a thru-hike… my first ever! I would love suggestions of great beginner thru hikes, and/or any tips from all of you. I plan to hike the Pacific Crest Trail by the year 2022, if all goes as planned!

Leave a comment to tell me a little bit about yourself! I would love to hear from you. And, as always, please ask me questions or leave me feedback either through comments or email.

Peace and love,

Juliana

  1. If you’re interested in traveling to Canada, the Juan de Fuca Trail on Vancouver Island is a good beginner thru-hike (3-5 days) or if you don’t mind paying trail fees and ferry fees, the West Coast Trail (5-7 days) is just a little farther north.

I haven’t done the WCT, but I’ve done a short 2km leg of the JDF as a test run for my gear because I plan on doing both of them.
